A week after the Met audience cheered their joint house debuts, Leontyne Price and Franco Corelli repeated the triumph of their Il Trovatore performance for this broadcast with a cast that also featured baritone Mario Sereni, mezzo-soprano Irene Dalis, and in the brief role of Ines the young Teresa Stratas. Fausto Cleva, one of the Met's most admired Italian specialists, conducts the company's orchestra and chorus. 2 CD's taken from the February 4, 1961 broadcast.
